COVID-19 Testing
In light of travel regulations in the United States and Canada, Villa del Palmar is now offering COVID-19 testing at the resort.
Antigen tests are available for $350 MXN pesos (approx. $17.50 USD) and are acceptable for people traveling to the United States. For those traveling to Canada and other countries, PCR tests are available for $1,500 MXN pesos (approx. $75 USD). *USD pricing is approximate only since it fluctuates according to the daily exchange rate. Documentation of test results will be provided in a format acceptable to the authorities of each country.
What if the Test is Positive?
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to quarantine for 14 days or until they have a negative test result. Airlines have been instructed to refuse boarding to anyone who can’t show proof of a negative test or proof of recovery from COVID-19.
In the case of a guest testing positive while staying at Villa del Palmar Cancun, the resort will offer discounted room only and all-inclusive accommodation for guests to spend their quarantine period. Quarantined guests must adhere to the protocol for their safety and must cover the costs of their incidentals, including food, beverages, and medical expenses during their extended stay.
