There are few nights in your life which will be as memorable, exciting, and fun as the first night of your honeymoon; still charged with the romance of your wedding day, but removed from the stress and demands of that ceremony, it is the first time you will really be alone together as newlyweds. So why not gather up all the candles you can in different shapes and sizes, though we recommend that you stick to cream or white so that they enhance the mood rather than draw attention to themselves. If possible see if you can have them arranged and lit before you arrive, but it doesn’t really matter if you can’t. Just send your spouse off for a bath and light the candles on the fly while they wash.

Getting the music right for your romantic night in is key, and so we have a few suggestions for you. First of all you could simply choose a genre or artist that you both like and put this in the background, but if you want to earn extra points you could also make up a playlist of songs that have meaning for you and your partner. Apps like Pandora will give you endless possibilities.
Sensual games
Little games and roleplays in the bedroom can make things interesting, fun, and exciting for couples no matter how long they have been together. Your first night on honeymoon is the perfect time to start rolling out sensual games for your joint enjoyment. A really simple and popular one is to use a blindfold (a scarf or bandana will do) and feed each other chocolate dipped fruits, guessing which ones are being presented. A more naughty variation on that same game is to instead run things of different textures along exposed skin to see if the fabric or object can be guessed. Declare Your Love
Many people like to have small gifts to give to their spouse after the wedding, and though this is often jewellery or a watch it need not be expensive at all. Instead you could try writing or typing up a letter or list which tells them why you love them so much and what it is you love about them. This is a really thoughtful, sentimental, and romantic thing to do and it only costs a little of your time. If you did want a physical memento, however, you could have this list written up beautifully and framed to be hung in your new home.
