Early detection and treatment of breast cancer is key in the battle against breast cancer that affects thousands of women each year as well as men. While the potentially fatal disease is far more common in women over 50 years of age, it can also affect younger women and men. Checking your breasts on a regular basis for irregularities, changes, discoloration and lumps no matter how old you are should become part of a regular routine.
In order to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection, treatment and palliative care, Breast Cancer Awareness month takes place each October. People are encouraged to show their support by wearing the iconic pink ribbon which has become a symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness.
The managers and staff at Villa del Palmar Cancun fully recognize the significance of this initiative and are taking steps to promote the importance of early detection and treatment as well as support for palliative care. To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness, employees and senior members of staff at the resort are wearing a pink ribbon on their uniforms throughout October.
