Cancun is one of the best destinations in Mexico for family spring break vacations, due to its tourist-friendly infrastructure, numerous activities, and world-class resorts.
While the new normal may change certain aspects of Cancun for spring breakers, the destination still has everything that families are looking for.
One of the top reasons why Cancun has always been a favorite destination for family spring break vacations is the weather. After a long, cold winter in the northern climates, a sunny vacation is most welcome.
Spring break in Cancun is warm and moderate, perfect for soaking up the sun on the beach and enjoying T-shirt-and-shorts weather around town.
Shopping is another favorite activity in Cancun, and the city has some of the best shopping in Mexico. Whether you’re looking for designer brands or handmade artisanal goods, you can find it all. Traditional Mexican arts and crafts are abundant, and the city’s international port makes Cancun a hub for high-end art, furniture and imported goods as well.
Cancun has always been known for its extraordinary night life. Bars and clubs in Cancun are currently open with reduced hours, limited capacity, and social distancing.
Coco Bongo, for example, is a large restaurant and disco that is fun to visit during your trip to Cancun. Located in the hotel zone, this club has live music and entertaining shows. You can also enjoy a pizza and watch sporting games on TV on their outdoor terrace.
