Villa del Palmar Cancun is taking the need for stricter environmental policies seriously with our new #Adopta2KM Program. Our world-class resort is targeting the stunning, white sand beach that sits outside our backdoor with an environmental program designed to keep it ecologically safe and free of debris. Hoping to reduce the impact on our surroundings and improve overall experiences for guests, our five-star resort, with the help of a dedicated cleanup crew, have made a commitment to Mother Nature to protect two of her most beautiful attractions, the picturesque shores of Cancun and the vibrant coral reefs that lay just beyond.
On August 1st, 2015, our family-friendly resort successfully launched #Adopta2KM program with a beach and garden cleanup that left the surrounding areas in impeccable conditions. A team of dedicated staff members headed out to pick up garbage, remove scattered debris and generally pick up anything that often collects on beaches so frequently visited by tourists from around the world.
This was just the first of many weekly beach cleanups to come in the near future, demonstrating our commitment to preserving the natural environment and stunning resort grounds for all to enjoy.
“When visiting Cancun, guests of Villa del Palmar Cancun can rest assured that they will encounter the pristine coastline surrounding the resort in perfect condition,” promises Villa del Palmar Cancun’s general manager, Germain Gallardo.
During each campaign, the resort’s gardening department, aided by resort staff from all the different hotel divisions, will target different areas of the beach and hotel grounds to ensure each is free of trash and other undesirable objects that may endanger the thriving beach and marine ecosystems that make Cancun their home. Future campaigns will also include the task of planting additional trees, bushes and flowers that will add to the already vibrant appearance of the areas surrounding the resort.
Villa Del Palmar Cancun is thrilled to be a leader in the effort to preserve Earth’s greatest asset, Mother Nature. Aside from ensuring a brighter, more beautiful destination for guests, the resort hopes to create awareness of the need to care for the environment, not only for the enjoyment of now, but for the preservation of the future.
