The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, first launched in 2003, is organized each year on Playa Mamitas in Playa del Carmen and music lovers get a real treat listening to live music performed under star studded skies. The festival will run this year from Thursday November 27 through Saturday November 29, presenting a number of first rate musicians and groups playing jazz, blues, funk and soul. And what is more, the festival is free!
Artists who have already confirmed for this year’s Jazz Festival include: Virgil Donati, Kenny Garrett, Chick Corea & the Vigil, Pat Methany Unity Group, Hiram Gómez, Pato Machete, Colin Hunter, Jorge Vercillo and Take 6 (Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley). Visitors to Cancun and Riviera Maya are going to have a fantastic time listening to such talent on the beach after dark.
